Before X-men 97 came out there was a push online to hate it just from the previews and perception of a view being pushed. Then the show came out and it was great and it shut people down. A good product that is true to the lore and that universe can silence the political critics.

The best current sci-fi/fantasy shows you should be streaming: The Boys, House of The Dragon, Dark Matter. If you’re jonesing for Star Wars rewatch Dune part 1 & 2 until you commit awesome one liners to memory. Ex: "May thy knife chip and shatter”

Loving the show so far, having read all of the high republic books so far I can say that this show is nailing the vibe. The show runner said that the show is not what you think it is by the trailer, so far she was right but I’m enjoying the ride.

38:20 - and yet you all spend the next 10 minutes of this show debating the mystery of who is the Sith in this series (because we still don't definitley know who it is). Big fan the channel, the show and all you guys and agreed with many of your points here but the point that there's no mystery I think isn't the case, personally.

This show has the same problem as ST: Discovery....dozens of writers "writing different episodes without talking to each other or having a strong show runner making sure there is logical and consistent characterization and coherent story telling. The show runners are using sci-fi IPs for kindergarten training college grad writers.

The power of art is that it cannot be tricked. The artist's intention comes out as it is. The OT was received as it was intended. Manipulating the perception will always fail. Sooner or later.

I laughed when Mae decides to start walking from the ship towards camera, then Qimir stops her for a pep talk, then they leave - in the complete opposite direction and you see that Mae was gonna walk straight into a creek!

I agree with all of the comments and criticism. I have stopped watching after 2 episodes and instead watch detailed reviews. I understand what they are trying to do and could in theory accept the direction... But the writing is just horrible, childish and breaks their own logic. Two points: Ki adi mundi's birth was never canon - it was mentioned on some toy. Also I fear the master and the acolyte are not sith at all and in their effort to subvert and reinvent they are creating some different sect of dark side users all together. Either way I don't care.

It is about execution & Disney isn't executing. And if you're failing &you don't change anything then people get upset. And to act as if Disney/Marvel/Star Wars hasn't had a massive influx of strong-female characters that are all mary-sue/boss-chicks then I think you're likely blind. And I don't mind a bunch of boss-chicks being in all these films, I hate that it's a bunch of poorly written Mary-sues in all these films. They got Black Widow & Pepper Potts right but they got worse writers or are taking a new approach, they need to execute better

Maybe Ki-Adi-Mundi is there because he is part of the cover up, hiding the Sith existence from Yoda and the high council. Really enjoyed this episode over the previous ones, mainly because of the shift to a darker tone and the addition of tension that wasn’t felt until now. Not using the force theme is hurting the show imo. Btw OSHA did show annoyance that the flying creature was killed.

The Fallout series has a female lead and a black male lead, and people love it. The overall cast is very diverse, but it's a well written series. The Acolyte is a poorly written, lethargic, nonsensical show. Defenders can call everyone who voices their dislike bigots and "the problem with Star Wars," but that doesn't explain why Fallout was a success and the Acolyte a failure.
